Air Austral, the “French airline of the Indian Ocean” hosts flights between Réunion Island, Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa and France. Air Austral commenced flights from Sydney twice weekly in April 2009 opening up a magnificent new route for Australians travelling to Paris.
Cabin Classes
Air Austral Airlines offers three flight classes: Club Austral (Business Class), Comfort Class (Premium Economy) and Loisirs (Economy).
Business Class seats 18 passengers in leather upholstered chairs. Seats recline to 180-degrees with 152cms space between seats.
Premium Economy Class sears 40 passengers, seats recline 128-degrees with 96cms space between.
Both First and Bussiness class feature in-seat facilities of a socket and USB port. On Air Austral it's the little things that make the difference such as champagne at reception, tablecloths on your table, and real espresso.
Air Austral Economy Class seats 384 passengers. Space between seats is 83cms with a recline of 115-degrees.
Onboard
All three cabin classes feature individual on-demand entertainment with a choice of 25 movies, 100 audio channels, and video games. Warm towels are also served after refreshments.
Before You Fly
Business and Premium Economy passengers have exclusive access to the following Lounges: Admiral's Club (Paris), the New Club Austral (Roland Garros St-Denis Reunion), Cezanne (Marseille Provence), Mont Blanc (Lyon St-Exupéry), Croix du Sud (Toulouse), Noumea (the Tontouta) Qantas Club (Sydney Kingsford Smith).
Air Austral's Frequent Flyer programme is called Capricorne. Air Austral will provide a bonus 500 points as a welcome gift. If you book a seat in Comfort Class you can gain an extra 25% in frequent flyer points and if you book via Club Austral, your points double.
