American Airlines is a domestic and international carrier operating out of Dallas Fort Worth in the United States. It was a founding member of the One World Alliance. American Airlines is one of the world's largest airlines in terms of passenger miles and fleet size.

Cabin Classes

American Airlines offers three cabin classes; First Class, Business Class and Economy Class.

First Class on American Airlines boast seats that convert into fully flat 6'6" beds. Seats feature electronic recline, adjustable lumbar and adjustable winged headrests. Entertainment is viewed on your own large screen video screen with 10 channel programming and a personal video library of 20 movies. Other features include a premium cabin duvet, SpAA in Flight amenity kits, privacy divders, laptop power connections, personal reading lights, satellite telephone, underseat storage, and noise cancelling headphones.

Business Class offers leather and cloth upholstered seats with increased recline with a 60" pitch and a fully flat bed option. Seats also feature ergonomic controls, advanced lumbar support and under calf support, and six-way adjustable leather headrest. Other inclusions are SpAA in Flight amenity kit, laptop power, additional legroom, satellite telephone, personal video with 10-channel programming, and noise cancelling head phones.

First and Business Class passengers may choose their own meal times, with four entrees to choose from and the Quick Cuisine service for those with lots of work to do!

American Airlines Economy Class features overhead screens with a variety of current movies, news, documentaries and comedies. On Boeing 777 aircraft between Shanghai and Chicago seatback video with ten channel programming and movies is offered. Seats are fitted with six-way adjustable leather headrest and a sliding tray table. Food and beverages are included.

Before You Fly

American Airlines offers two lounges the Flagship Lounge and Arrivals Lounge.

The Flagship Lounge is exclusive to First Class American Airlines passengers and First and Emerald Class international passengers travelling on eligible Oneworld flights. Features include complimentary lounge buffet with breakfast, lunch, aftertoon tea, supper, and evening snacks, complimentary premium liquors and regional wines, showers at select airports, computers with internet access, Bose Music Stations, plasma TVs, T-Mobile HotSpot, and print access. Flagship Lounges are located at Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, London and New York airports.

The Arrivals lounge features 29 Private showers, hair dryers , pressing service, complimentary beverages, cappuccino/espresso, breakfast bar, fax/copy facilities, complimentary internet access, and 6 individual workstations.

To guarantee you always depart and arrive in style American Airlines offers membership to the Admirals Club; this gives you access to 40 Admirals Club locations worldwide, and 30 international lounges operated by Oneworld partner Qantas. It also permits you to invite up to two guests or immediate family members.
