Qatar Airways is the flag carrier of Qatar, it links over 80 international destinations. It is among the only six airlines to be awarded 5-star rating by Skytrax.

Cabin Classes

Qatar Airways offers three cabin classes: First Class, Business Class and Economy Class.

In 2007 Qatar Airways was awarded the industry's best International First Class by travellers in the 2007 Skytrax survey. The First Class experience starts from before you even get to the airport. Arrive and depart in a chauffeur-driven BMW 7-Series from or to Doha Airport when travelling from or to European destinations. Passengers are permitted 40kgs of luggage, this is boosted to two pieces of 32kgs when travelling on Transatlantic flights. Sit in style at the airport in the Premium Terminal, this exclusive First Class lounge offers spa treatments, jacuzzi, showers and sleeping facilities. Once onboard you will feast on a ten-course meal complemented by fine wines and champagnes. Passengers travelling on the Airbus A340-600 longhaul may also choose to enjoy the excluisve First Class Lounge - onboard! First Class seats offer 6.5ft of legroom and recline into complete flat beds fitted with soft feather duvets. In-seat functionalities include massage, and start-of-the-art entertainment providing passengers with over 900 ways to enjoy their flight.

Business Class cabins on Qatar Airways are fitted with seats in a 2-2-2 confirguration offering 180-degree horizontal recline (on their Boeing 777, on other aircraft recline is 172-degrees). Seats have inbuilt massage and entertainment options. Qatar Airways was awarded 'World's Leading Business Class' at the World's Travel Awards. Passengers are permitted 30kgs of luggage, this is boosted to two pieces of 32kgs when travelling on Transatlantic flights. Business Class passengers also have access to the Premium Terminal business centre and duty free shopping. 

Economy Class passengers are permitted 20kgs of luggage, increased to two pieces not exceeding 23kgs when travelling across the Atlantic. Cabin seats are fitted with personal access to Oryx in-flight entertainment.

Onboard

Qatar Airways newest aircraft-type, Boeing 777, feature Oryx Entertainment in-flight entertainment system offering every passenger in both Business and Economy Class a choice of more than 700 audio and video options. The interactive service includes over 150 international movies, 150 TV programmes from around the world, and more than 50 games and 500 audio CDs to choose from. The Oryx in-flight entertainment has offers dedicated children's channels as well as TV shows, movies, video games and much more.

Before You Fly

First and Business Class passengers are invited to visit the Premium Terminal at Doha's International Airport when embarking on international flights or breaking a long journey. Dine for breakfast, lunch or dinner in the lounge and complement your meal with a wide selection of wines and champagnes. The Business Centre in the lounge boasts three meeting rooms equipped with phone and video conferencing. Pamper yourself before or during your flight in the Qatar Airways Premium Terminal Spa, offering various treatments to relax the mind, body and soul. For those travelling with children the Premium Terminal offers Nanny services, a children's play area, and a games room with virtual Racing pod, Sony Playstation 2 and portbable PSPs.
