Australia's newest international airline Virgin Australia operated by Virgin Blue airways, commenced operations on the 27 February 2009, flying between Sydney and Brisbane to Los Angeles. Since then Virgin Australia has also announced flights from Melbourne and flights to Phuket, Johannesburg and Fiji.
Cabin Classes
Virgin Australia offers 3-classes of service International Business Class, International Premium Economy Class and International Economy Class.
International Business Class offer fully horizontal flat beds, 1.88meters long and a generous legroom of 77 inches. Seats in Business Class offer massage, privacy screens,workstations and 12.1 inch touchscreen personal TV's. Business Class also offers a sit down Boutique Bar and Ladies only lavatories.
International Premium Economy Class has all-leather seats with a 38 inch seat pitch and are 20 inches wide with 9 inch seat recline and come with adjustable head and footrests. Premium Economy Class offers personal workstations with laptop power, USB slot, reading light and 10.6" touchscreen personal TV's. International Premium Guests can also utilise the self-service bar for a drink.
International Economy Class have a 32 inch seat pitch, 18.8 inch seat width and seat recline of up to 6 inches. USB slots are available to power laptops and other personal devices. Economy Class passengers have a 9 inch touchscreen personal TV. Economy Class passengers may also help themselves to the drink station or snack kiosk.
Ambient Mood Lighting is provided in all classes relative to the time of day or night, as well as Panasonic Avionics Corporation AeroMobile technology, which allows full mobile phone and e-mail connectivity during a flight.
Onboard
Virgin Australia's In-Flight entertainment RED is provided in every seat regardless of the class, based on the Panasonic eX2 system. RED is fully touch-screen and handset controlled devise with many great features including Movies, TV Shows, Games, Music and Chat.

Before You Fly
Passengers can join Virgin Australia’s loyalty program, Velocity Rewards free. This program allows you to earn points from the entire Virgin Blue Network.
Virgin Australia offers Lounge access to their International Business Class Guests and Velocity Gold Members and one guest, on the day of travel on an outbound Virgin Australia flight. Lounges are provided at the Sydney International Airport (Malaysian Airlines Golden Lounge) and at Los Angeles International Airport T3 (Alaska Airlines Board Room).
