Lion Air is headquartered in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. From humble beginnings with one plane in 2000, they have now grown to a fleet of 46 aircraft, operating to Indonesia’s major cities, plus internationally to Singapore and Malaysia. Presently, Lion Air operates up to 160 flights per day, including all high-volume routes.
In 2005, Lion Air had the biggest market share in Indonesia. They are planning major expansions and will have a total of 178 aircraft by 2012, enabling Lion Air to offer more non stop flight at low fares to more destinations throughout Indonesia and beyond. Lion Air will soon be flying extensively throughout the Asia Pacific Region.
Lion Air's aim is lower-priced fares, with superior service and on-time performance.
