A low-cost airline based in New Delhi began operations in May 2005. Earlier known as Royal Airways, SpiceJet operate a single aircraft type the 737-800 in a single class configuration. SpiceJet’s mission is to become India’s preferred low-cost airline delivering the lowest airfares with the highest customer value.

With the increased economic growth in India the percentage of business and leisure travellers has increased dramatically and SpiceJet’s vision is to address the filling need for more air travel capacity.
