Founded in 1962 by Pastor Ejlif Krogager, the name Sterling was inspired by Pastor Krogager’s mother, who always used to give sterling gifts, being the symbol of quality. Sterling has developed from a traditional airline into Scandinavia’s first low-cost carrier. Now Europe’s fourth-largest LCC and the largest in Scandinavia with flights to over 40 destinations within Europe.
Sterling offer competitive pricing based on a low-fare concept to a range of destinations appealing to individuals leisure or business travel needs. Last year Sterling flew over 5 million passengers between Scandinavia and Europe. Sterling Airlines main focus is to maintain and expand on their current position within air services travel.
