The perfect way to explore Bavaria, the Danube Valley, the beauty of Croatia and Albania. Enjoy the Rhine River, Schonbrunn Palace and the crystal blue-green of Plitvice Lakes.
Discover the ancient history of Athens including a three-day relaxing cruise of the beautiful Greek Islands. Here is a brief rundown on the sights you'll encounter on the 20 day European Treasures itinerary:

Travel to France and make your way through Bruges to Brussels to marvel at the gilded buildings in the Grand Place and see the Mannekin Pis statue then drive to Amsterdam where you will have time at leisure to explore this fascinating city. You then travel to the north of Amsterdam to visit the fishing village of Volendam on the banks of the Ijsselmeer. The next day you will visit Arnhem, where you can view the 'Bridge too Far' and then cross the German border to see Cologne Cathedral. Here you join a cruise on the Rhine River. After the cruise you will drive south to Bavaria where you will have a chance to see King Ludwig's Neuschwanstein Castle, then take a scenic alpine drive to Innsbruck and then onto Salzburg for a guided tour where you will visit the Mirabell Gardens and see Mozart's Birthplace, followed by a drive along the Danube Valley, past Melk Abbey, to Vienna where you can visit the fabulous State Apartments of Schönbrunn Palace and see the Winter Palace, Parliament building, Opera House and City Hall.

Drive southwards through Styria's forested mountains, past Graz, and over the Slovenian border to the town of Maribor and later you will follow the Drava River to Croatia and continue to the capital, Zagreb. On your guided tour of Zagreb, you will have a chance to see Roosevelt Square, Ban Josip Jelacic Square, the Cathedral and the medieval Upper Town, including the Presidential Palace, Stone Gate, St Marks Church and the Pope's Tower. Later you depart for the fortress town of Karlovac where you will stay in Plitvice National Park. The following day you'll tour the Plitvice Lakes and visit Korana Canyon to see the falls and Tomicevo Pogledalo for views over the park, then drive to the Dalmatian coast, where enroute you can admire the cathedral and Renaissance Cipiko palace in Trogir before continuing to Split. 1700 years ago the Roman Emperor Diocletian built his palace here and today you can explore the streets and buildings within that same palace. Visit the Roman port of Salona to admire the Roman Baths, Amphitheatre and Necropolis and continue through sun-drenched resorts to the fortified town of Dubrovnik. On your guided sightseeing tour of the old town you will see Onofrio's fountain and the Rector's Palace, the city walls, as well as the Franciscan and Dominican monasteries. The afternoon is at leisure in this 'Jewel of the Adriatic' - relax at an outdoor café or shop in the bazaar?

Just over the border you will visit the old town of Kotor from where you will continue through Montenegro to Albania and stop in the town of Shkodra where you can view the Rozafa Castle. Stay in the Albanian capital of Tirana and in the morning head southwards through spectacular scenery to the northern mountainous region of Greece and the resort of Joannina. Take a scenic drive to the ancient capital of Greece, Athens, where you'll take a sightseeing tour that includes a visit to the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of the Wingless Victory and Hadrian's Arch. The following day you'll board a cruise ship and sail for the island of Mykonos and enjoy a Greek Evening and Dinner with entertainment whilst cruising. Enjoy a full day on Rhodes, once a fortified headquarters of the Crusaders and home to the Colossus of Rhodes and in the morning you dock at the island of Patmos and later sail to Kusadasi where you can visit the bazaar, or perhaps take an excursion to Ephesus?

Following on last year’s success at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards, Emirates, the Dubai-based airline has scooped yet another cluster of prestigious accolades at this year’s event, taking its total tally of international awards to over 300.

Emirates won top honours in five out of seven categories at the Business Traveller Middle East 2006 Awards, including ‘Best Airline Overall serving the Middle East’, ‘Airline with the Best Business Class’, ‘Best Regional Airline for the Middle East’, ‘Airline with the Best Cabin Staff’, and ‘Airline with the Best Frequent Flyer Programme’.

In a four-month survey conducted in the Middle East, business travellers once again voted in favour of Emirates, bringing it back to winning position and enabling it to clinch top honours such as ‘Best Airline Overall serving the Middle East’, ‘Airline with the Best Business Class’, ‘Best Regional Airline for the Middle East’, ‘Airline with the Best Cabin Staff’, and ‘Airline with the Best Frequent Flyer Programme’.

The Business Traveller Middle East Awards are the benchmark for excellence in the region’s travel and hospitality industry. Held annually, the awards are determined by survey results with no outside sponsorship or influence, making it the most respected passenger survey of its kind in the region.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group said: “Voted for by readers of Business Traveller Middle East, these awards are an important and valuable accolade, recognising exceptional levels of quality and service. In light of this, Emirates winning top honours in five out of seven categories is a great achievement and has thrilled us tremendously. ”

He added: “We are grateful to the support of our customers who have voted for us and we remain committed to offering them only the very best.”

Emirates has been voted ‘Best Airline Overall serving the Middle East’ for another consecutive year, indicating that business travellers are seeing consistency in the airline’s superior product and service during their Middle East travels.

Emirates today serves the Middle East region with 145 weekly flights to 12 cities, offering approximately 4.5 million seats. Responding to the needs of business travellers for increased connectivity, the airline recently unveiled plans to fortify its presence in the region with scheduled enhancements to its services in Kuwait, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
