Kenya for a long time has been regarded by many as the
home of the African Safari, it is most famous for the
amazing wildebeest yearly migration which takes place in
the world renowned Masai Mara National Park but is
equally famous for it's local inhabitants, the enigmatic

already been on safari in Southern Africa it comes as a
bit of shock when you see the sheer scale of the amount
of wildlife in Kenya, forget about travelling all

antelope species that roam the plains, if your looking
for elephants, there are plenty. Giraffes? Oodles of
them. For the twitchers there around 1500 species of
birds, one of the highest concentrations in the world.
Kenya is not only all about the Masai Mara it is well
endowed with parks and reserves., each covering a
special ecosystem with it's own bio-diversity, the
Samburu is one of many that has a diversity of animals
that will keep you thrilled for hours.

Splendours Of The Hawaiian Islands from $2419
Cosmos tours have a great 13 day tour of Hawaii and it's
islands. Starting on the world famous Waikiki Beach and
then onto equally famous Pearl Harbour where you'll get
a morning sightseeing excursion featuring the sunken USS
ARIZONA and its impressive memorial to the men still
entombed there, Punchbowl National Cemetery and Honolulu
Lookout. From Honolulu it's then off to the "Garden
Isle" of Kauai. Drive along the scenic southern shore
via Poipu Beach to Waimea, once the Polynesian capital
of Kauai and the site where Captain Cook landed on the
islands in 1778. Sightseeing highlights include Waimea
Canyon and the lush and fertile Hanapepe Valley and then
it's back to the resort for a Luau feast. Kauai has a
lot to offer, and you have several optional outings
during your stay, including a trip to Hanalei Bay, the
filming location of many Hollywood movies such as South
Pacific and The Thornbirds. Other activities include
helicopter flight seeing along the Na Pali Coast and a
cruise up the Wailua River to the famous Fern Grotto.
Early on day eight depart for Hilo and the island of
Hawaii. Then tour Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where
you can see Kilauea Crater, rising 1,247 metres (4,090
feet) above a volcanic wonderland of steaming fire pits,
lava tubes and fern forests. Spend the next day
exploring the resort town of Kailua-Kona. Optional
activities include a snorkelling cruise to a coral reef
to view magnificent tropical fish or a helicopter ride
along the Kohala coastline and over the famous Parker
Ranch and an active volcano. Its then off to Maui, the
"Valley Island." On arrival, sightseeing begins with a
visit to the Iao Valley, the "Yosemite of the Pacific,"
to view the lao Needle. Then through the lush farm
country and along the shoreline via Maalaea Boat Harbour
to Lahaina, once a whaling centre and capital of the
Hawaiian monarchy. Enjoy a full free day exploring the
beautiful island of Maui or just relaxing on the beach
or the pool. Note from January to mid-April, whale
watching is also offered. Finally the last full day is
dedicated to Haleakala National Park, the volcano known
to islanders as the "House of the Sun," and its vast
Haleakala Crater. The parkland is located in a setting
of stunning natural beauty, ranging from a landscape of
cinder cones to dense rain forest. Return to Kihei in
the early afternoon with the balance of the day at
leisure. Day thirteen is spent transferring to Maui's
airport in Kahului for your homebound flight.
