So you don't have heaps of time to go on holidays this year but you need that exotic break to keep you sane? Well Intrepid feature a sneak peak tour of Turkey that takes in the romantic city of Istanbul, visits charming villages, Roman ruins, beautiful coastlines and Gallipoli - all in 8 days.

Day one of your tour sees you visiting the beautiful sites of old Constantinople (Istanbul), the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya and the amazing spice bazaar. Try your luck at haggling for a carpet or perhaps try one of the many Turkish Baths that are around the bazaar in the old city. Whatever you do in Istanbul you know it will be a unique experience. On day two you are whisked away from Istanbul to the countryside and to the sombre war memorial of Gallipoli at Canakkale. The next couple of days are spent in nearby Ayvalik, a town perched on a hill overlooking its harbour where all the streets are cobbled and a great place to hop on a boat for a cruise of the azure Aegean waters.

Day five of your trip takes you to the town of Selcuk, famous for the Roman ruins of Ephesus, the most magnificent archaeological site in the Eastern Mediterranean. Travel inland to the town of Pamukkkale where you will be able to marvel at the ruins of Hierapolis as they stand overlooking the beautiful white terraces of the town. Finally it's back to Istanbul for a visit to the Topkapi Palace, home to the Ottoman Sultans, and an afternoon of cruising tea gardens, coffee houses and then back to the bazaar for one last haggle.
